Hey guys, Corex hosting. So, we're out here deploying miners. It's like 7:30 at night. As you can see, still very hot out. This next week's going to be looking to be very hot as well, mostly 95s every day, which here in Iowa's about as hot as it gets. So, what I wanted to talk about today is how do we here at Corex Hosting have such good uptime. That's one of the main selling points for hosting companies — everyone has some kind of uptime they shoot for, 95%, 97%, 100%.
So, here at Corex Hosting, our goal is 100%. So, we do not have to curtail. My rate doesn't go up or down depending on what time of day it is, so we can be on 24/7 and it's not going to cost me anything more. So then, to my clients, I can sell that as: we're going to be up as close to 100% as we can. There's multiple factors we've thought about and planned around to try to keep as close to 100% uptime as possible.
We have the newer digital shovel pods behind us that we put together ourselves, and the fans are the things that go out the most. Since it's pretty new, that's not going to be a problem this year, but me and my dad put on all 32 of those fans ourselves, so we can knock out a brand new fan in about 45 minutes — we have extra fans, fins, and motors on hand. Because we did the work ourselves, if one goes out randomly, we can knock it out pretty quick because we've been there, done that.
Second, it's just being in this business for a while — working with miners, the container we built, the pre-built Digital Shovel pods — knowing how airflow works and what miners want, plus a couple tricks I haven't put on camera to make these things run as good as they can even at 95 degrees out.
And then the third thing is we run third-party firmware — LuxOS or Braiins. Both have thermal management: if the miner is getting hot, it clocks itself down a bit to protect itself, so during the day it's not cooking itself. LuxOS calls theirs Advanced Thermal Management (ATM), and in general Luxor already runs the miners cooler by default on top of that protection. So my clients can be on 100% of the time and their miners protect themselves when it gets hot.
Here at Corex Hosting, our goal is 100% uptime — same with the hydro site. If you're on 5% of the time more often, that's 5% more revenue. So if you're looking to get your ASIC hosted, put your air miner in here — I've got a bunch of Z15 Pros on the way and just deployed a bunch of S21 XPs. Send me an email contact at corexhosting.io. If you want a hydro miner, all the Whatsminers, the Bitdeers, send me an email and we'll go from there. Thank you guys.
